Etta Clementine Whaley Rauhuff, 91, of Pigeon Forge went to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 4:30AM. She was born July 19, 1925 in Sevier County. She was a member of Greenbrier Primitive Baptist Church and loved our Lord and Savior with all her heart. Etta was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah and Lincoln Whaley; husband, Mack William Rauhuff; daughter, Iva Ann Brackins; grandson, Jason Abbott; brothers, Zenith Whaley, Orvil Whaley, Austin Whaley, and Estes Whaley; sister, Cora Loveday; twin sister, Ida Whaley.
Etta is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, George Edward and Sandy Rauhuff, Carroll and Deborah Rauhuff, Larry and Gladys Rauhuff, Dwight and Karen Rauhuff; son-in-law, Everett Brackins; daughters and sons-in-laws, Helen and Glenn Ellis, Kathleen and Richard Mayes, Becky and Jeff Sawyer, Golda and Harold Abbott; 22 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Earl Whaley and wife, Joannie Whaley; sister, Leona Rayfield; many nieces, nephews, extended loving family members and friends.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to all the staff members of Ft. Sanders Sevier Nursing Home for all their comfort and care.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6:45 PM Friday with the funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Rev. Danny Sutton will be officiating. Family and friends will meet 10 AM Saturday at Mount Zion Cemetery for the graveside service and interment. Etta's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
