Flora Ogle Bohanan Towle, age 87 of Sevierville, left to be with her Lord on November 9, 2012, surrounded by her family and friends who will miss her dearly. Flora was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grand mother and never ceased worshipping and serving the Lord. Flora was a devoted Christian and member of Freedom Baptist Church in Pigeon Forge.
Flora was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph Marcus Ogle and Mary Campbell Ogle, her son Newell Wade Bohanan, her husbands Dillen Columbus Bohanan and Cecil Towle, and her siblings Thomas and Earnest Ogle, Dorothy Gosnell and Marie Williams.
Flora is survived by: her son and daughters-in-law Donald Dillen Bohanan and Brenda Cox Bohanan, and Janice Bohanan; Grandchildren and spouses include: Lisa Bohanan, Eric and Nancy Bohanan, and Stephen S. Bohanan. Great-Grand children include: Dalton, Avery and Eli Bohanan. Flora is also survived by: her sister-in-law Helen Ogle, her nephews and their spouses Jessy and Rhonda Williams, Bill and Becky Gosnell, great-niece Mary Gosnell and son Zach Gosnell. Special friends include: Eunice Watson, Jean Carver and Charlotte Williamson.
Flora will always be remembered by her family as their beloved “Maw” and will be remembered for her devotion and love to her family, friends and God. Memorial gifts may be sent to: Freedom Baptist Church 420 Cole Dr., Pigeon Forge, TN 37863.
Friends may call at their convenience 11 AM – 2 PM Saturday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. Family and friends will meet at Freedom Baptist Church on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at 1:00 pm for visitation and funeral services at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Edward Parton officiating. Interment will follow in Pigeon Forge Methodist Cemetery Arrangements by Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
