HARRELL, JULIE JOSEPHINE WEAR - 85, of Morristown, passed away Tuesday morning, May 19, 2009, at her home. She was born in Sevier County (Wears Valley), Tennessee and later lived in Hancock, Grainger, and Hamblen County. She was a member of Adriel Baptist Church in Bean Station, where she taught the Senior Ladies Sunday School Class until her health prevented her from doing so. She was an inspiration to those who knew her. She loved singing gospel hymns and helping others. She retired from Humana Hospital, now known as Lakeway Regional Hospital. Mrs. Harrell was preceded in death by her parents, Wade Hobert Wear, Mary Paralee Thomas Wear; husband Frank G. Harrell; one sister Billie Doris Frazier Surratt; and brothers Jack, Odie, and Henry Wear. Josephine is survived by daughter and son-in-law Kathryn and Bobby Joe Talley, with whom she made her home; son and daughter-in-law Sammy Jay and Rebecca Harrell of Kingsport; granddaughter Samantha Kay Harrell and step-granddaughters Lea Ann (Milton) Laster and Kimberly Jo Talley. She also leaves behind one brother and sister-in-law Johnny and Juanita Wear of Sneedville; sisters-in-law Mary Ruth Wear of Sneedville and Della Harrell of Kingsport; and two special cousins Mary Helen Peeler of Sevierville and T. L. Woods of Pigeon Forge; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She will also be missed by a very special canine companion, JoJo, who brightened many of her days. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm Thursday, May 21, 2009, in the east chapel of Allen Funeral Home. The celebration of life service will follow at 7:30 pm, with Rev. Gary Biggs, Rev. Kenny Cole, and Bro. Carroll Gene Talley officiating. Burial will be 11:00 am Friday in the Christus Garden of Hamblen Memory Gardens. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery. Arrangements by Allen Funeral Home, 200 Jaybird Rd., Morristown, TN.
