Phyllis Elaine Linginfelter, age 73, of Maryville, TN passed away peacefully in her sleep, Sunday, March 20, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Linginfelter had bravely fought Multiple Myeloma for 8 years and her courage was an inspiration to all who knew her. Her children were the most important part of her life and she loved them unconditionally. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She cherished every moment she spent with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pierson Pryor Hodges and Lillian Clark Hodges. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Scotty Linginfelter; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Doug Lequire of Maryville; son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Lisa Linginfelter of Montana; grandchildren, who she loved dearly; Christina and Micheal Davis, Scott and Neisha Linginfelter, Tyler Lequire, Garrett Lequire, and Chase Linginfelter; great grandchildren, Khloe, Alonna, Kason, and Emma; sister Martha Jane and husband Larry Stinson; brother Steve and wife Sandie Hodges. The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Hanna of Hanna Cancer Associates at UT Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in the Smith Trinity Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Steve Hodges and Rev. Raymond Burnette officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment.
