YARBERRY , W.L., SR. - age 91 of Knoxville, died Friday, May 31, 2002. He was a member of New Prospect Presbyterian Church for 52 years during which time he served as elder and Sunday school teacher for 30 years. He was a former member of the Lion's Club of Sevierville and a graduate of Maryville College, class of 1933. He owned and operated Yarberry Variety Stores in South and West Knoxville, and Loudon, Tenn. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. J.L. Yarberry ; brother, Dr. O.H. Yarberry ; and sisters, Mrs. Maude Y. Holbert and Mrs. Kate Y. Blazer; stepsister, Minnie Gann and stepbrothers, John and George Yarberry . He survived by wife of 60 years, Trula C.; and son, W.L. Yarberry , Jr., and his wife, Katrinka Ann; also step granddaughter, Krishna Williams; sister, Ruth Y. Williams; and several loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Prospect Presbyterian Church or Shiloh Cemetery. A memorial service will be held Monday June 3, 1 p.m. at the New Prospect Presbyterian Church with Dr. Tom Warren and Rev. Chris Francis officiating. Family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. Monday at the New Prospect Presbyterian Church. Arrangements by Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy.
