KELLY, Shirley Louise Of Flint Twp., died Tuesday, January 28, 1997 at Genesys Flint Osteopathic Campus. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 1997 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek, Rev. Fr. Amos Wischmeyer, Celebrant. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-9 p.m. Thursday and 1-9 p.m. Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with a Scripture Service at 8 p.m. Friday evening. Mrs. Kelly was born in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Carl and Mildred (Suess) Kowsky. She resided in Flint Township for the past 38 years. She married Charles B. Kelly on June 24, 1950 in Chicago. Mrs. Kelly was a special education teacher at Carman Ainsworth High School. She was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, the Council of Catholic Women, Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority International, the Royal Quarter Club, Mother of Perpetual Help Guild, and the Carman Ainsworth Prayer Group. Surviving are: husband, Charles B. Kelly; 5 daughters, Maureen M. and Wayne Lindholm of Edina, MN, Colleen K. and Theodore Degenhardt of Troy, Noreen K. and Allen Welsby of Flushing; Kathleen K. and Peter Toal of Glenview, IL, Eileen L. Kelly of Flint Twp.; 2 sons, Thomas A. and Susan Kelly of Lansing, Charles P. and Brenda Kelly of Huntington Woods; 20 grandchildren; mother-in-law, Margaret F. Kelly of Chicago; sister, Joan Gore of Chicago; 2 brothers, Jay and Renee Kowsky of Chicago, Carl Kowsky of London, England; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mildred Kowsky and father-in-law, Edward B. Kelly.
