A former Sevier County school teacher, Clessie Mae Sims Seaton, died Wednesday at Sevier Medical Center.
Her teaching career began in a one-room schoolhouse. She also taught at Sevierville Elementary and Pigeon Forge elementary schools.!
Mrs. Seaton, 84, was an active member of Middle Creek United Methodist Church for 60 years. She taught the women's Sunday School class for 15 years.
She leaves her husband, Mayford Seaton; a daughter and son-in-law,!Charlotte and Charles Huff; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth Marshall andLaurel Seaton, Robert Kent and Connie Seaton, and Jacob Wilson and BeckySeaton; sisters Lennie French, Ruby Fox, Estalee Ogle, Myrtle Davenport,+Mildred Huff, Ruth Hill, Gladys Butcher and Wilma Woods; a brother, Robert Sims; and sisters-in-law, Hettie Seaton, Rosa Seaton, Ina Seaton Roberts and Rosa Gregg.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m. today at Atchley's.Funeral Home. The service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Atchley's Chapel, followed by burial in Middle Creek Cemetery.

P.F. Miss Clessie Sims & Mr. Mayford M. Seaton and Miss Esta Lee Sims & Mr. Harry Ogle were united in marriage in a double ceremony performed by Rev. Pope, pastor of the First Baptist Ch. of Jefferson City on Monday.
The brides are daughters of M/M John Sims of Fairgarden. Mr. Seaton is a teacher in the el. Schools of Sev. Co, and Mr. Ogle is engaged in farming.
