Brewer age 89, of Friendsville passed away, February 19, 2008 at home with her family at her side. Mrs. Brewer was a graduate of the University of Tennessee and retired educator with Blount County Schools. Mrs. Brewer taught 3rd grade at Chilhowee View Elementary for 33 years. She was preceded in death by husband, Johnnie A. Brewer; infant son, Stephen Anderson Brewer; parents, William Victor and Ada Grove Rogers; bothers, Paul, Fred and Victor Boyd Rogers; sister, Mary Pendley. Survived by son and daughter in law, Bill and Vickey Brewer of Maryville; grandsons, John Stephen and Devan Shane Brewer both of Maryville; sister in law, Irene Rogers of Seymour; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral service 7:00 PM Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Lonnie Garner officiating. Interment service 10:00 AM Thursday at Grandview Cemetery.
