Testerman, Virginia Catherine “Cathy” (née Ricketts) of Sevierville, returned to her Heavenly Home on Friday, May 20, 2016, at the age of eighty-three.
Cathy was a bookkeeper by trade. After retirement from Appalachian Insurance, Cathy enjoyed travel, arts and crafts, flowers of all kinds, and photography.
Cathy is predeceased by her parents, Henry and Irene Ricketts, and her brother, H.G. Ricketts.
Cathy is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Bill. They were married in Knoxville, Tennessee on July 20, 1956.
Cathy is lovingly remembered by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike (Jenny) Testerman of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Jason (Annie Maples) Testerman of Montgomery, Alabama; Becky (Chris) Boyd; John and Katie Testerman; all of Knoxville, Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Will, Olivia, and Savannah Testerman of Montgomery, Alabama and devoted friends; Ralph and Sue Bengston. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Belva (Art Jr) Downey, Charlene Testerman, and Evelyn Ricketts and several nieces and nephews.
Receiving of friends is scheduled for Sunday, May 22, 2016, from 5-7 p.m. at Berry Highland South on Simpson Road with funeral to follow. Interment will be on Monday, May 23, 2016, at Berry Highland South at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to CROSS Food Ministry at PO Box 186, Seymour, TN 37865 (www.crossfoodministry.org).
