H.G. ( Tiny ) Ricketts , 81 , of Knoxville , TN , passed away peacefully on Thursday , April 28th , just before midnight at Parkwest Hospital. He was a member and Deacon at Piney Grove Baptist Church. He sang for many years as a member of the Friendship Gospel Singing Quartet. He retired from Plastic Line after 41 years. He graduated from Central High School in 1953. Preceded in death by parents, Henry and Irene Gibson Ricketts ; brother-in-law, Arthur Gwinn; and son-in-law, Ralph Blair. Survived by wife of 59 years, Evelyn McFalls Ricketts ; his children, Debbie Blair, Gary, Ronald and wife Joni, Brian and wife Dana; sister, Katherine and husband Bill Testerman; sisters-in-law, Wilma Belitz and Barbara Gwinn. Papaw H.G. has 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews. One of the most favorite things Papaw H.G. and Mamaw Evelyn did was care for Maddie and Jaron most summers. They picked up Maddie and Jaron from school each week. Family will receive friends Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a service to follow at Weaver Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at Piney Grove Cemetery at 1:45 PM, Wednesday at for a 2:00 PM graveside service. You may sign H.G. 's guestbook at www.weaverfuneralservices.com.
