Lillian C. Hodges, of Maryville, will celebrate her 90th birthday Sept. 20 with a family dinner.
She was born Sept. 23, 1918, in Sevier County. She was married to the late Pierson P. Hodges.
Her family includes children Phyllis Linginfelter and Martha Jane Stinson, both of Maryville, and Stephen C. Hodges, of Louisville. She has five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Hodges is a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. She resides at Asbury Place Assisted Living, Maryville.

Lillian Clark Hodges, 90, of Maryville, went to be with her Lord peacefully on Tuesday, March 31, 2009. She was an active member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. She taught WMU and Sunday School for many years and was the director of the homebound ministry. She was loved and cherished by all who knew her. Lillian was a loving wife and mother. Above all, she was a devoted follower of Christ. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband Pierson P. Hodges; Father, Rev. Sidney H. Clark; Mother, Rachel Ingle Clark; Step-mother, Ella Reed Clark; all of her brothers and sisters. Survived by: Daughters and Sons-in-law, Phyllis & Scotty Linginfelter, Martha Jane & Larry Stinson; Son & Daughter-in-law, Dr. Steve & Sandie Hodges; 5 grandchildren & spouses; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter. Funeral service will be at 7:30 PM, Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Smith Trinity Chapel with Rev. Raymond Burnett officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 10:30 AM, Friday, April 3, 2009 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Hodges requested that donations be made to: Miscellaneous Missions at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church and Madison Avenue Baptist Church.
