Hatcher, Echard, age 85, of South Knoxville, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2003 at Sevier County Healthcare. He was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church and retired from C.M. McClung with 35 years of service. Member of the Masonic lodge and worked with the University of Tennessee Parking Services. He was a veteran of World War II and was an avid cook. Preceded in death by wife, Nannie Hatcher; parents, M.M. and Rebecca Jane Hatcher; brothers, Lee, Rube, and M.B. Hatcher; sister, Josie Ballard; and special friend, Katherine Webber.
Survivors
Sister and brother-in-law, Cora and Gene Chambers, Flora and Clyde Baker; brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Lucille Hatcher; special nephew, Dennis Chambers; several nieces and nephews.
Service
Funeral service 7:00 PM Monday, Berry Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. Hollie Miller officiating. Family and friends will meet at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Tuesday for 11:00 AM interment services. Pallbearers will be nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
