Florence Gobble Flynn, age 92, a native of Pigeon Forge, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2007 at St. Mary’s Residential Hospice in Knoxville. She was a classic southern lady with a strong sense of positive thoughts, and devotion to her family and church. Florence was an exceptional seamstress and interior designer who took pride in her vocation. She was also a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Pigeon Forge.
She is survived by her four children and their families which includes many grand and great grand children, and will also be dearly missed by her many friends that she leaves behind.
The family will receive friends Tuesday morning August 7, 2007 in the chapel of Rawlings Funeral Home from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. The celebration of her life will follow the visitation at 11:00 am in the Rawlings Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Michael Johnson and Dr Bobby Barton officiatting. Family and friends will travel in procession to the Pigeon Forge Methodist Cemetery for the interment. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donation be made to either: St. Mary’s Residential Hospice 7447 Andersonville Pike Knoxville; Fort Sanders Sevier Nursing Home 809 Middle Creek Rd Sevierville, TN 37862; or First United Methodist Church 226 River Lane Sevierville, TN 37862.
