Georgia (McCarter) Cole, age 82 of Gatlinburg, passed away Saturday October 11, 2008. She was a faithful member of Beech Grove Primitive Baptist Church for 22 years. She was preceded in death by her husband: Gaston Cole; parents: Della (Huskey) and T. Elmer McCarter; sisters: Iva Wright, and Harriet Proffitt. She is survived by her sons: Larry Cole and wife Clellene, and David Cole and wife Marie; daughter: Donna Metcalf and husband Don; grandchildren: Lisa, Greg, Sarah, Kevin, Matt, Rebecca, Chris; nine precious great grandchildren; sisters: Dorothy Reed, Kate Clabo, Blanche Clabo, and Edna Myers. The family will receive friends Monday evening October 13, 2008 from 7:00 until 8:30 PM in the chapel of the Rawlings Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet Tuesday morning October 14, 2008 in the Beech Grove Cemetery at 10:00 AM for the graveside service with Elder Shirley Henry officiating.
