Ogle, Harold C., age 85, of Knoxville, passed away Monday, April 7, 2012 at the home of his sister. Harold attended Sevier County High School and three months after his 18th birthday, he joined the U.S. Army and served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater from 1944 until November 27, 1946. After returning home from the war, Harold began a career as a crop duster. His career took him all across the United States as well as outside of the country in Mexico and Central America. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, William and Veatress Ogle; sister, Willie Mae Adams and brother, Robert L. Ogle. Survivors include sisters, Betty Burgin and Mary Ann Winkle Townsend and husband, Bill; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet Thursday at Woodlawn Cemetery for a 2 PM graveside service with Rev. David Winkle officiating. Pallbearers will be Bob and Mike Winkle, Russ Manning, Steve Burgin, Dale Rhoton, David Houston, Robbie Ogle and Sam Adams. Military honors by the Army National Reserve.
