COVINGTON, BILLIE AILEEN - went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2004. She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Marshall and Minnie Whaley brothers, Rev. Ben and Rev. Ed Whaley sister, Sue Wood. Survivors: husband, Lester Lynn Covington son, Michael B. Stringfield and fiancée Sherry Russell daughter and son in law Sandi and Jim Harrison sisters, Nina Flynn and Barbara Christman sisters in law Gladys and Rebin Whaley brothers in law and spouses, Charles Covington, Jimmy and Connie Covington, Don and Kathy Covington, Larry and Imogene Covington grandchildren, Donny and Jennifer Moore, Susannah Stringfield, James Harrison, Matt Harrison, Andy Stringfield, Polly Harrison 5 great grandchildren Josh, Keely, Kaylynn, Brayden and Chase several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. She was born in Sevierville and was retired from Robert Shaw. She was a devoted Christian, loving wife mother and grandmother. She lived her life expressing kindness, love and compassion to everyone she met. She will always be in our hearts and memory. Her life was a true miracle to all who knew her. Her strong spirit will always be with us. Service, 8:00 p.m., Thursday, Mynatt Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Roger Lee, Rev. Jim Sollars and Rev. Billy Bell officiating. Family and friends will meet, 11:00 a.m., Friday Sherwood Cemetery for interment service, pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home.
