Lisa Gail Parton Stubbs, age 52 of Seymour, TN., went home to be with her Heavenly Father on September 10, 2015.
Lisa was an accomplished Piano player and used her talent in music by teaching others her love of music and sharing that gift of music in many churches, spreading her love of God.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jack D. Parton, grandparents, Bruce and Martha A. Maples, Rev. Orville and Bessie Parton, Uncle, Ben Maples and Aunt Kathryn Russell, brother-in-law, Ronnie Stubbs. Father and mother-in-law, Rev. Kenneth Stubbs and wife, Betty.
Survivors include her husband, Sam Stubbs, children, Dani Gibson and Luke Gibson, mother, Georgia Parton, brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Tania Parton, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws. Kenny Stubbs, Jr. and wife, Cindy, Janet Brown and husband, Rick, Charlotte Shields and husband, John, Gary Stubbs and wife, Annette. Uncles and aunts, Rev. Ben Whitted and Carlena, Willie Williams and Maxine (Auntie Max), Sam Sutton and Rosie, Stanley Parton and Kay, Jerry Parton and Faye. Nieces and nephews, Lela and J.T. Parton, Chad and Courtney Gibson. Special friends Debbie Whitted and Janet Brown, Rose Manning and Teresa Blalock, several cousins and many friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Michelen Liebman, Thompson Cancer Survival Center and Tennova Residential Hospice for the compassion and care they have shown Lisa and her family.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested donations to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Organization at Komen.org.
Services will be held 4:00 P.M. Sunday, September 13, 2015, at Rawlings Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Whitted officiating.
A private graveside service will be held later.
The family will receive friends 2:00-4:00 P.M. Sunday prior to the service.
Rawlings Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.
