Joyce Parton, age 81, of Cosby, passed away, Sunday, August 19, 2012 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Parton; parents, Newt and Nancy Garver; brother, Floyd Garver and Walt Garver; sisters, Nina B. Phillips, Bertha Williamson, Olav Phillips and Eva Lou Hoglan. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Hal Giles; son and daughter-in-law, Hoody and Lanie Parton, all of Cosby; brothers and sisters-in-law, Thad and Velma Garver, Lem and Jenetta Garver, all of Cosby; Phillip and Loretta Garver of Butler, TN; sister, Jettie McKeehan of Elizabethton; grandchildren, Mike Parton, Jessica Parton, Nancy Williams, Dewy Giles and Kandy Lunsford; great-grandchildren, Alpha Parton, Tate Parton, Jettie Williams, Joyce Williams, Deanie Williams, Jake Giles, Aaron Giles, Luke Lunsford and Kody McCarter; also other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 21, 2012 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Gary Henderson officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 22, 2012 in Rector Cemetery in Sevier County. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Tuesday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
