Florence Carr Huskey Trentham of Alligator Point, Florida passed away at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital on May 3 after a long illness; she had been a resident of Eden Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for nearly a year. She was the youngest daughter of Mattie and Elbert Carr, born October 25, 1926 in Seymour, Tennessee where she lived most of her life before moving to Alligator Point, FL in 1992. Ms. Trentham was a beautician, and for many years owned and operated a hair salon in Seymour before retiring in 1975. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Burl Huskey in 1945 while serving in WWII, her second husband, Harold Trentham in 1996, one brother, West Carr, and four sisters, Edna Webb, Ola Newman, Flora Gibson and Pauline Riggs. She is survived by her son, Ronald Burl Huskey and his wife, Barbara of Alligator Point, Florida, two sisters, Ethel Mize and Hazel Davis, both of Seymour, Tennessee, several cousins and many nieces and nephews. Ms. Trentham had attended Mission by the Sea on Alligator Point since 1992.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday, May 6 at Atchley Funeral Home in Seymour, Tennessee and graveside services will be held at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Seymour, Tennessee at 10 a.m. Monday, May 7.
