three arrested for burglary

According to Sevier Co. Sheriff Ron Seals 3 people have been arrested in connection with a burglary that occurred on this morning in Sevier County.
Seals stated that at approximately 1:09PM Sevier County Sheriff Department received a call from a resident on Kellum Creek Rd. stating that there was a burglary in progress at a neighbors home and that the three suspects had fled the scene in the victims gold Ford Expedition.
SCSD Officers responded to the scene and other officers were dispatched to the area.
Officer Jerry McCarter spotted the vehicle on Lane Hollow and attempted to stop the vehicle without success.
The Officer pursued the vehicle to Walnut Grove Rd. where the vehicle ran off the road.
A female, who was driving the vehicle, was taken into custody at that time and a male subject fled on foot.
A K-9 unit from Pigeon Forge came to the scene and tracked the subject to an area where the scent was lost at a apartment complex nearby.
Upon investigation information was developed as to the identity of the male that fled and another female that was involved.
The two suspects were picked up at different locations and brought to SCSD for futher investigation.
Inside the stolen SUV investigators recovered a rifle and other personal property belonging to the victims that had been taken from the home.
All three were charged with Aggravated Burglary by Det. Stephanie McClure and King, driver of the SUV was charged with evading arrest and theft by Off McCarter.
The homeowner is the mother of Pigeon Forge Police Lt. Steve Helton who was involved in the hit and run motorcycle accident earlier this week in Sevierville.
Lt. Helton's mother was admitted to the cardiac unit at UT Hospital after suffering a heart attack at the hospital while her son was being treated.
Charged in the Burglary are: Bridget Ann King age 27 of 845 Union Hill Dr Sevierville, TN; Laura Lynn Conaway age 36 of 845 Union Dell Court Sevierville, Tn; Ralph Daniel Lee age 41 of Swaggerty Rd Kodak
Lee had an outstanding Aggravated Burglary Warrant and a Violation Of Probation warrant outstanding at time of arrest. All three will be arraigned at a later date and a court date will be set.

Bonnie Kate Helton Kelley, age 73 of Sevierville, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013.
Mrs. Kelley was born January 8, 1940 to the late Ceborn and Frances Hartsell. She retired in 2007 with 42 years of service with Sevier County where she served in various departments, including the Election Commission, Health Department and the school Maintenance Department. After retirement she was employed for 15 years with Wal-mart where she always greeted customers with a smiling face.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Rex H. Helton and Rayford Leroy "Ray" Kelley; brothers-in-law, Maynard "M.T." Helton, Theron Tarwater, Bufford "Jab" Helton, Ray Helton and wife Dottie.
She is survived by:
Children: Melissa and Steve Maples, Steve and Nikki Helton
Step-daughter: Sharon Diane Walton and Mike Crosson
Grandchildren: Cory Maples, Beau Hannah, Taylor Helton, Lukke Heilig Deatherage, Serena Heilig and Lindsey Walton
Siblings: Maggie Fox and husband Larry, Lonnie Hartsell and wife Blanche, Sue Williams and husband Olen, Rose Hurst and husband Arvin, Janice Rhea and husband Stanley
Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Doris Helton, Janice Tarwater, Bobby Helton, Wayne and Barbara Helton
Loving "Mamaw Kate" to numerous nieces and nephews

Funeral service 2 PM Sunday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. David Hodges officiating. Interment will follow in Hartsell-Rolen Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-6 PM Saturday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
