RICE, DOROTHY ELAINE SHIELDS – Age 87 of Seymour, TN passed into the Lord’s hands May 27, 2009. She is a former member of Atlantic Baptist Church in Margate, FL and retired physical therapist from Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. Dorothy is a US Marine veteran, having served during WWII as a Corporal in the San Francisco Supply Depot. She was preceded in death by her husband, Murphy Lee Rice; son Keith Rice and daughter Patricia Riensch.

She is survived by sisters Helen Morrow of Seymour, TN; Danna Worley of Knoxville, TN and Jenny Risberg of Rocky Ford, CO; daughters, Shiela Rice Cole and Son-in-Law Boe Cole of Seymour, TN; Jennifer Rice Borchardt and Son-in-Law Ira Borchardt of Garland, TX; sons Daniel Rice of Albuquerque, NM and Raymond Rice of Beaumont, TX. Grandchildren Jonathan Cole of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Lisa Pierce of Warner Robbins, GA; Kim Udell & Bill Riensch of Geneva, NE; Emily Rose & Elyse Noell Borchardt of Oklahoma City, OK; Jacob Borchardt of Garland, TX; Murphy Lee and Hayden Lucas Rice of Tampa, FL and 9 great grandchildren.
Service
Pastor Rusty Sharp will conduct a memorial service at Berry Funeral Home; 3704 Chapman Hwy; Knoxville, TN at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 31, 2009 for friends and family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
