Mark Edward Huskey, 42, of Charlotte, North Carolina, formerly of Pigeon Forge, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, May 23, 2007. Mark was born September 15, 1964 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Don F. and Jane Proffitt Huskey.
Mark was a graduate of Liberty University, and served the Lord in ministry from 1985 to 2000 as Associate Pastor of Seymour Community Church, and as pastor of Eastside Baptist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina from 2001 until his death. He was preceded in death by grandparents Leonard and Edna England Huskey and Gordon and Willia Mae Lanning Proffitt, uncles and aunts Dale Proffitt, Frank Huskey, Larry Huskey, Charlotte Wade, and Brenda Strickland
In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his wife Joyce England Huskey, daughter Stephanie, sister Marcia Nelson, niece Sarah Nelson, father-in-law Jim England, aunts and uncles Johnny Huskey, Burl Huskey, Billie Helton, Stella Hurst, Joda Murphy, Margie Clinton, Betty Jo Harris, David Proffitt, Glen Proffitt, Ruth Krauss, Norma Hester, Wesley Proffitt, and many other loving family members.
Funeral service 2 PM Saturday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Samuel Brooks and Rev. Scott Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12-2 PM Saturday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville. (www.atchleyfuneralhome.com)
