McCULLOCH, REX, E. - of Alcoa, died Monday, November 5, 2001, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Army and served during the Korean era. Mr. McCulloch was retired from Blount Memorial Hospital's maintenance department with 31 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Elsie McCulloch; sons, Neal Edward and Roger Dale McCulloch. Survivors include wife, Freda Headrick McCulloch; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Keith Austin of Townsend; two grandchildren, Leigha and Geoffrey Austin; brother, Glen McCulloch; sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Vernon Kidd of Texas; aunt, Bernice McCulloch of Maryville, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, 2001, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary with Rev. Earl Taylor and Rev. David Webster officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2001, at Grandview Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hope For Today Cancer Support Group, c/o Piney Grove Baptist Church, 536 Blockhouse Rd., Maryville, TN 37803.
