Caylor, Edward Delozier, age 84, born October 15, 1923, in Townsend, TN, went home to be with the Lord suddenly on September 10, 2007 at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital. He was a member and active deacon of Westside Baptist Church. In his teen years, he worked in the CC Camps for the U.S. Government. Then, he proudly served for 20 years and retired from the U.S. Army. After his service in the Army, he worked at DM Rose Lumber Company and Wallace Saw Works. Preceded in death by: parents, Dee Cam Caylor and Nancy Caylor; brother, James Robert Caylor;
Survivors
Survivors: wife of 63 years, Georgia Caylor; son, Charles Edward Caylor, Sr. and wife Charlotte of Corryton; daughter Peggy Arnold and husband Kenneth of Halls. Sisters: Estella Caylor, Allie Hannah, Nellie Lail, Lillie Webb. Grandchildren: Charles Edward Caylor, Jr. and wife Karen, Robin Schmid and husband Greg, Sheila McElroy, Stephanie Guinn and husband Bill, Scott Arnold, Heather Haley and husband Clifton. Great-grandchildren: Christopher Caylor, Kayla, Karlie and Keely Schmid, Russell McElroy, Lindsey and William Guinn, and Bailey Arnold. Special friend C. E. Rose.
Service
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday with the funeral services to follow at 8 pm at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel. Officiating will be Reverend Dean Braden, Reverend Greg Schmid, and Reverend Wiley Shelby. Entombment will be 11 am Thursday at Lynnhurst Cemetery.
