He was a member of Alice Bell Baptist Church. He operated Carmichael Motor Company in Knoxville for more than 20 years. He was preceded in death by parents Arthur and Lena Carmichael. Survived by his wife of 51 years, Gwen Carmichael; son, A.C. Carmichael and wife Suzanne; daughter, Noell Carmichael and companion Tracy McFarland; grandson, Alex Carmichael; granddaughter Chesley Lawson; great-grandsons, Rome and Nikolas; Best Friend Ronald Smith. The family would like to express a special thanks to the Staff and Nurses at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Monday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Reverend Toby Everett officiating. Family and friends will meet at the West Adair entrance to Lynnhurst Cemetery at 1:45 P.M.
