Jenkins, age 79 of Salem, IN formally of Newport went to be with her Lord Sunday, Sepember 3, 2006 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, IN. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. Ms. Jenkins is preceded in death by her parents, LeGrand and Routh Flower; husband, Alvin Jenkins; one daughter, Nancy Jenkins; two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her children, Linda and husband Ralph LaCharity of Cincinnati, OH, Ruth and husband Russell Felker of Salem, IN., Wanda and husband Jim Dillman of Allentown, PA and Kathy and husband Gary Britton of Washington. Routh will also be sadly missed by her sister, Katherine Reed of Oregon; several nieces and nephews and a host of special friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 7, 2006 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 8, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fred Cagle officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Ms. Routh A. Jenkins.
