Mr. Earl M . Albertson , age 93, of Douglasville, GA passed away Monday, October 27, 2014. He was born February 16, 1921 in Atlanta, GA. Earl retired from Rich's and sat on the Douglasville City Council for 12 years. He served in the Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. He was also a member of First Families of TN and the Eastern Band Cherokee Nation.
Mr. Albertson was married to his wife, Marolyn Banks Albertson for 71 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Dollie Mae Albertson; brothers Juell and Hoyt Albertson; sisters Bonnie Daniell and Hazel Naron as well as brother Robert "Bob" Albertson.
Mr. Albertson is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Sheryl and Ronny Rainwater; sons and daughters-in-laws, Jim Albertson, Bill and Erica Albertson, as well as Joe and Kathleen Albertson ; brother William F. "Bill" Albertson; sister Betty Mayfield; grandchildren Lauren and Jason Rainwater, Cory, David and Sharon Albertson as well as great-grandchildren Fiona and Liam Rainwate, Rowan and Banks "Buddy" Albertson.
The family will have a private service at a later date.
