GOODMAN, STEVE ALLEN - loving husband, father and grandfather, age 61, a resident of Oak Ridge, died Monday, October 15, 2007 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Steve was born October 20, 1945 in Leinarts, Tennessee to the late Grover and Sammie Mildred Hoskins Goodman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a sister Pat Goodman. Mr. Goodman is survived by his wife of 43 years, Margaret Huff Goodman; by a son, Tony Goodman and his wife Missy of Brandon, Mississippi, and a daughter Anessa Osborne and her husband Darrell of Calera, Alabama. Mr. Goodman is also survived by granddaughters, Jaime and Sydney Goodman of Brandon, Mississippi, and by grandsons Scott Goodman of Brandon, Mississippi and Cameron Osborn of Calera, Alabama. He has three brothers; Roger and Larry Goodman of Oliver Springs, Danny Goodman of Clinton; and a sister Shirley Goodman of Clinton. Additionally he has a niece, Melanie Hasse of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida; a nephew; Charles T. "Chuck" Johnson, Jr. of Whites Creek, Tennessee and a sister-in-law; Patricia Anne "Patsy" Johnson and husband Charles T. "Tommy" Johnson, Sr. of Joelton, Tennessee. Mr. Goodman was a machinist/toolmaker by trade and he worked at Rexnord Industries of Clinton for 31 years. He loved bass fishing with family and friends. He also coached football at the Oak Ridge Boys Club in the mid 1970's and received the Charles Harklerod Coach of the Year award in 1977. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 16, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at Batley Baptist Church, with Rev. Luke Kidwell and Rev. Archie Nelson officiating. Burial and graveside services will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. An online register book is available for Mr. Goodman at www.sharpfh.com
