Ruth (Boot) Bradley, 77, of Newport, passed away at her home, Wednesday, January 24, 2001.
Ruth was a member of the Northport Baptist Church. She was retired from the Northport and Northwest Schools where she worked in the cafeteria for 17 years.
Ruth was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Linda Bradley; her husband, Glen Bradley, Sr.; her parents, Ernest and Mary Fain; and her brother, Billy Fain.
She is survived by her three sons and daughters-in-law, Glen Jr. and Gail Bradley, of Newport, Bert and Jena Bradley, of Sevierville, and Chet and Janene Bradley, of Newport; granddaughters and their husbands, Lisa and Todd Gable, of Knoxville, Lori and Wayne Green, of Jefferson City, and Kate Bradley, of Sevierville; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Dale Phillips, of Newport; sister-in-law, Nora Fain, of Newport; four nephews, Pal Phillips, Lee Phillips, Terry Fain and Ray Fain; and a host of friends.
The funeral will be at 8 p.m., Friday, at Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. James Suggs officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, at Union Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, prior to the funeral at Manes Funeral Home.
Manes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
