DOCKERY, DAVID EARL - age 85, of Knoxville, died April 5, 2000 at UT Hospital. He was a decorated veteran of World War II and a recipient of a Purple Heart while serving in multiple campaigns. He was a member of Marble City Baptist Church. He was a member of Elks Lodge #160. He was the owner and operator of Marble City Barber Shop for several years and also worked for Knox County Medical Services. Survivors: wife, Mildred Kidd Dockery of Knoxville; son, Robert Paul Dockery; 2 grandchildren, Kristin Alley of Rock Hill, SC and Brock Dockery of Knoxville; 2 great grandchildren. Memorial service 3 p.m. Saturday April 8, 2000 at Highland Memorial Chapel, Rev. Ron Bright in charge. Memorials may be sent to Marble City Baptist Church or Elks Lodge #160 for the Shoe Trust Fund.
