Albert Hale "Alb" Parrott, 75, of Knoxville, died Feb. 2, 2002 at Baptist Hospital.He was a member of Valley View Baptist Church in North Knoxville.He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.His parents were Jobie and Gola Turner Parrott. He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, a sister and two brothers.He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Huskey Parrott; sisters and brother-in-law, June Vann of Franklin, Va., Ruth Large of Sevierville, Helen Walker of Grand Rapids, Mich., sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and Eugene Rayfield of Grand Rapids, Mich.; sister-in-law, Hazel Trentham of Sevierville; devoted niece Charlotte and husband Ronald McCarter of Sevierville; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.Funeral service is 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Jerry L. Wolfenbarger and the Rev. Dewey Cooper officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel.Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at Maddox Cemetery in Wears Valley for a 2 p.m. interment service.
