Bonnie Sue Rolen Boling, of Maryville was called to Heaven on Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at 3:30 a.m. At the age of 71 she passed away at Blount Memorial Hospital. Bonnie was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. She was a very loving and adoring wife, nurturing mother, caring grandmother, thoughtful sister and a special aunt. Bonnie loved and enjoyed her family. Bonnie and her late husband, L.H. Boling, spent many years camping. She truly loved the outdoors and her flower gardens.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Hettie Rolen of Sevierville; sister, Anna Rue Williamson of Maryville; brother, Eugene Rolen of Sevierville; sister (missing since June 15, 1992) Reba Fay Catlett of Sevierville; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mable and Elmer Boling of Maryville; husband (her loving "Sweetheart" of 48 years) Lawrence Huston "LH" Boling.
Survivors include her son, Lynn K. Boling; daughter-in-law and caregiver, Susan Boling; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Chuck Walker; grandchildren (her "Sweet Angels") Diane Walker and Rebecca Walker; brother and sister-in-law, Otto and Letha Rolen of Washington State; sister and brother-in-law, Sara Mae and Inloe Whaley of Sevierville; sister, Mary Nell Lewelling of Sevierville; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Oliver Helton of Sevierville; sister-in-law, Hazel Rolen of Sevierville; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Funeral service 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 21, 2003, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary with Rev. David Webster officiating. Interment will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2003 at Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000, www.smithmortuary.com.
