  [S4] Knoxville News-Sentinel (Tennessee), 11 Oct 2001. ROLEN, ADA - age 89, of Sevierville, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2001, at Fort Sanders Sevier-Medical Center. She had been a resident at Royal Care Nursing Facility in Pigeon Forge for 8 years. She attended Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Rolen; son, Rex Rolen; parents, Tom and Annie Walker; brothers; Vick, Dan, Hobart, Ambrose and Cas Walker; sisters, Lillie Lane, Pearl Keeler, Sallie Kropff, Irma Oglesby, Dora Hankins, and Ruth Beal. Survivors: sons and daughters-in-law; Dot and Wanda Rolen, Ellis and Pat Rolen, and Nora Rolen; daughters and sons-in-law; Norma Jean and Harold McCarter, and Wilma June and John Galyon; grandchildren, Rhonda Huskey, Gail Smelcer, Debbie Mize, Lisa Cruize, Vicky McCarter, and Johnathan Galyon, and six great-grandchildren. Funeral service 7 p.m. Thursday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Ball officiating. Interment 3:30 p.m. Friday in Rolen Cemetery.
