Walter Nichols, age 98 of Sevierville, died Tuesday, January 29, 2002. He was preceded in death by his wife Dora Nichols; brothers Edward and Jim Nichols; sisters Dorothy Nichols, Ida Atchley and Irene Roberson.
Mr. Nichols was born November 25, 1903 and graduated from Murphy College in 1923. He then attended Knoxville Business College, after which he worked at a bank in Jellico. In later years he worked in the office of Aluminum Company of America as a purchasing agent. Mr. Nichols worked at C.M. McClung until it went out of business.
