  [S4] Knoxville News-Sentinel (Tennessee), 8 Sep 2006. PROFFITT, EDITH OGLE - age 87, of Claxton, formerly of Sevier County, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2006, at Windwood Health Center. She was a member of Edgemoor Baptist Church, Claxton. Mrs. Proffitt is preceded in death by husbands, Theodore D. Ogle and Burl Proffitt; parents, Bill & Mary Houk; step-sons, Earl and Everette Proffitt. She is survived by son, Gary Ogle and daughter, Barbara Weeks; step-son, Carl Proffitt; grandchildren, David Weeks, Sandy Crowley, Charlotte Davis, Amy Bare, Theo Ogle, Chrissy Ogle, Cheri Gault, Patricia Robear, Natasha White, Sonnya Nance, Billy Proffitt, Claire Proffitt and Krissy Proffitt; several great and great-great grandchildren; a host of family members and friends (too many to mention). Funeral services will be held Friday evening at 7 pm at Woodhaven Funeral Home following visitation from 5-7 pm. Graveside services will be 11 am Saturday morning at Shiloh Cemetery in Pigeon Forge, TN. Woodhaven Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 945-3461, is honored to serve the family.
