• Notes

  David W. Pinkerton served in Company B, 122nd Illinois Infantry Regiment and was mustered out at Mobile, Alabama 15 July 1865. He participated in the following battles: Trenton, Tennessee, where he was captured and imprisoned for eight months; Tupelo, Missippi, 14 July 1864; and Blakely, Alabama 9 April 1865. By occupation, David W. Pinkerton was a farmer, fruit grower, and bee keeper. Location of death and burial is not confirmed. ---------- Reference: Beverly G.
