• Notes

  May have been born in Ohio. Henry B. Pinkerton was a soldier in the Black Hawk War, from which he returned unhurt. He and his wife, Jane, moved to Iowa in the fall of 1843, but returned to Illinois in 1848 and settled on the farm which Jane (Huskey) Pinkerton had inherited.
