Carl Raymond Manis, 85, of the Henderson Chapel Community of Pigeon Forge, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2001 at Fort Sanders Sevier Nursing Home.He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Cecil Price Manis; six brothers; three sisters; unnamed infant and one grandson.His parents were John Daniel and Cora Belle Ammons Manis. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Seymour.He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Daniel Ennis and Barbara Joyce Manis of Lenoir City; daughter and son-in-law, Anna Belle and Elbert Odell Reagan of Sevierville; grandchildren, Ricky and Nancy Reagan of Pigeon Forge, Timmy and Stacey Manis of Loudon; Daniel and Tonya Jackson of Sevierville, Neca Manis of Lenoir City; great-grandchildren, Zachary Posey, Cody Manis, Mikayla Posey, Jessica Jackson; sister, Elizabeth Manis Wolfe of Maryville.Funeral service was Tuesday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with the Rev. W.A. Galyon and the Rev. Hudson Chesteen officiating. Interment is 11 a.m. Thursday in Shiloh Cemetery.

MANIS, CARL RAYMOND - age 85, born November 7, 1915, of the Henderson Chapel Community of Pigeon Forge, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2001, at 2:20 p.m. at Ft. Sanders-Sevier Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Daniel and Cora Belle Ammons Manis; wife of 57 ˝ years, Ruby Cecil Price Manis; brothers, Albert Lee, William David, James Leonard, Charles Theodore, Frank Edward and Johnnie Oliver Manis; sisters, Lillie Dellie Baker, Ida Liddy Moore, and Georgia Irene Manis; half-brothers, unnamed infant and Luther O. Manis, and grandson, Daniel Lynn Manis. Carl was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Seymour, Tenn. He served as a Constable in Sevier County for many years. He worked at Camel Manufacturing and was a longtime member of the Beekeepers Association and the Sevier County Farmer's Co-op.
Survivors: son and his wife, Daniel Ennis and Barbara Joyce (Baker) Manis of Lenoir City, Tenn.; daughter and her husband, Anna Belle (Ann) and Elbert Odell Reagan of Sevierville; grandchildren, Ricky and Nancy (Lide) Reagan of Pigeon Forge, Timmy and Stacey (Tallent) Manis of Loudon, Tenn., Daniel and Tonya (Reagan) Jackson of Sevierville, and Neca Manis of Lenoir City, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Zachary Posey, Cody Manis, Mikayla Posey, and Jessica Jackson; sister, Elizabeth Manis Wolfe of Maryville, Tenn. Funeral service 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. W. A. Galyon and Rev. Hudson Chesteen officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Thursday in Shiloh Cemetery.
