June 23, 1924 - June 2, 2014 Resided in Pittman Center, TN Eunice Watson Carr, age 89 of Pittman Center, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 2, 2014. She had lived in Pittman Center her entire life and was a member of Zion Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Carr will be remembered as a wonderful, Christian lady who loved to cook and feed the community. She began perfecting her cooking skills at a very young age by helping her mother cook for her ten brothers and sisters. She also enjoyed spending time gardening and working in her flowers. She is preceded in death by her son, Dannie Arthur Carr (killed in Vietnam 1969) ; brothers, Ray, Ephraim, Floyd and Roy Watson; sister, Valeria Cole. Survivors include her: Husband of 68 years: Rev. Melvin David Carr Daughters: Ruth Miller, Mary Ann Hines and husband Charles Grandchildren: Daniel Arthur Lindbert, Nicholas Alan Lindbert Great-granddaughter: Adyson Reese Lindbert Sisters: Ruby Kerr, Beulah McMahan Brothers: Francis, Delmar and Ozell Watson Memorials may be made to Zion Grove Baptist Church, 3319 Camp Smoky Lane, Sevierville, TN 37876. Funeral service 10 AM Saturday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. David Ray officiating. A eulogy will be given by Ken Jenkins and special music will be provided by Ray Ball and Charlie Rowe. Interment will follow in Zion Grove Cemetery.
