- Ebenezer Harwood and his wife resided in Littleton, Massachusetts, thence
removed to NOrth Brookfield, Massachusetts in 1743. He enlisted 9 April 1745
in Captain Olmstead's company, under Sir William Peperell, in the war against
the French. The expedition was an effort to drive the French from the Island
of Cape Brenton, Nova Scotia. Ebenezer Harwood was killed at the first capture
of the fortress at Louisburg.
