Iva was a loving Mother and Mamaw. She loved to work in her yard and always had the most beautiful flowers around. She had such a “green thumb” that she once stuck a stick in the ground to mark where a flower was, and the stick started to grow! She was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Wes Huskey; mother Molly Ogle Huskey; brothers Cecil and Howard Huskey; sisters, Zale Whaley, Clora Helen Ogle, Zilla Hutchinson and Lenora Huskey; grandson, Lyndon Dean Whaley; daughter-in-law, Mary Whaley; son-in-law, Ralph Watson. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Hugh and Vivian Whaley, Charlie and Mickie Whaley, D.H. and Linda Whaley, Bob and Charlotte Whaley, Jimmy and Sue Whaley; and daughter, Mary Watson. Twenty six grandchildren, forty-five great-grandchildren, thirty-nine great-great-grandchildren and two great-great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Saturday with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home.
