HELLMUND, GERTRUDE NICHOLS - of Knoxville, born Nov. 4, 1921 went to be with her Lord March 11, 2001. She was a longtime member of New Life United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hellmund was preceded in death by her parents, James & Lou Verna Nichols ; sisters, Edna, Mary, Peggy and Mae; and brother, Thurman. She is survived by her husband, Frederick M. Hellmund; sons & daughters in law, Ronald M. & Karen Hellmund, Dennis R. & Brenda Hellmund, Jeffrey L. & Carol Hellmund; daughter, Patricia F. Jones all of Knoxville; grandchildren, Renne Mahan, Donna Brand, Scott Hellmund, Daniele Keith, Christy Mickles, Daniel Jones, Scott Stewart, Charlie Reagan, Jennifer Welch, & Michelle Reagan; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Imogene Coffey of Chillocothe, Ill.; brother, Herbert Nichols of Rutledge; as well as numerous nieces & nephews. Funeral service 7:30 p.m. Tues. at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Rev. Patrick C. Polis officiating. Family & friends will meet Wed. at Eastview Memorial Gardens for an 11 a.m. interment service. Pallbearers: Tim Brand, Scott Mahan, David Keith, Joey Mickles, Charlie Reagan, & Scott Stewart. The family will receive friends 6-7:30 p.m. Tues. at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
