SHORT, EDITH - age 58, of Knoxville, entered into life eternal, Tuesday, July 16, 2002, at Fort Sanders Hospital, with her family at her side. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Clark and Rozella Short. Survived by her best friends and sisters: Billie (Fred) Cope, Bobbie (Sam) Adams, Frances (Wendell) Allen, Diana (Joe) Voiles, Jewel Toole (Vic Barkley), Lynn (Tom) Atchley, and her devoted brother and sister-in-law, Clark Jr. and Brigitte Short nephews and niece: Chuck (Teresa) Adams, Phil (Elizabeth) Cope, Scott Snelson, John (Shannon) Snelson, Clark Short III, Robbie Toole, Mark Atchley, Lori (Lee) Zadakaus great nieces and nephews: Kristen Philos, Taylor Cope, Brooke Cope, James and Ashley Yearwood, and Collin Adams aunts, Zena (Garreth) Monroe and Barbara Kelly, and many friends and cousins. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m. Thursday at Monroe Cemetery in Maynardville for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service with Rev. Eddie Chasteen officiating. Nieces and nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. www.berryfuneralhome.com
