September 19, 1946 - January 17, 2017
Brenda Duncan Griffin, age 70 of Newport, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017.
She was a member of Cave Hill Baptist Church where she served as secretary for twenty-six years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Plug” Griffin; parents, Hillery and Mattie Duncan; and sister, Barbara Dougherty.
She is survived by her daughters, April Hillery Griffin of Newport, Missy Griffin, and Karen Arthur both of Knoxville; brother, Clarence Duncan of Newport; special niece and caregiver, Kelly Whitt; special grandchildren of love, Hunter, Halle, Cody, Lexie, Dylan, Jennifer, Cayton, and Kayla; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 21, 2017 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Suggs, Rev. Michael Johnson, and Rev. Jeff Miller officiating.
Burial will follow in Cave Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 pm on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Manes Funeral Home.
