She was a native of Forest City, N.C., the daughter of the late Daisy Robbins Honeycutt and George Washington. She was the wife of the late William Lester Eledge. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include sons, Ray Eledge of Leoma and Robert Eledge of Lawrenceburg; daughters, Fay Ezell, Joyce Gilliam and Iva Nell Reynolds, all of Leoma, and Corena Powell of Aurora, Ill.; sisters, Edith Newton, Susie Powell, Virginia Nave, all of Leoma; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
