WEAVER, JEANETTE SMITH of Knoxville, born September 2, 1928, went to be with her Lord August 5, 2006 after a short illness. She was a member of Gillespie Ave. Baptist Church where she had attended her entire life and had participated in various ways with her outstanding contribution being that of serving as church organist for over 50 years. Mrs. Weaver had been an employee of Foreign and Domestic Veneers until its closing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. J.K. Smith and Myrtle P. Smith; her husband, Ralph Weaver; and infant sister, Laura. Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Ruth Smith of Knoxville; brothers, John Edwin Smith and wife, Marie of Seymour and Paul L. Smith and wife, Carolyn of Cary, NC; stepson, Michael Weaver of Knoxville; 4 special nieces, Vicki Paul and husband, Jack of Kilen, AL, Cathy Cantrell and husband, Darrell of Seymour, Terri Smith of Cary, NC, and Julie Johnson of Live Oaks, FL; special nephews, John Smith and wife, Sheila of Seymour, Bryan Smith and wife, Melinda of Cary, NC; 5 great nieces and 2 great nephews. Funeral service 7:30 P.M. Tuesday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Rev. Wayne Hubbs officiating. Family and friends will meet at the W. Adair entrance to Lynnhurst Cemetery Wednesday by 9:45 A.M. for a 10:00 A.M. interment service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Music Ministry of Gillespie Ave. Baptist Church or the Baptist Hospice Program. The family will receive friends 6:00-7:30 P.M.
