KINGS MOUNTAIN — Margie Grace Maples Stewart, 81, of Kings Mountain, passed away on Jan. 8, 2018, CaroMont Health, Gastonia.
Born in Sevier County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Lawson Maples and Nancy Jane Hedrick Maples.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Ralph Stewart; a daughter, Kathy Stewart Brown; two brothers; and three sisters.
Margie was a member of Dixon Presbyterian Church, Kings Mountain and retired from the textile industry. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Stewart Berry and husband Tommy of Kings Mountain; a brother, Carl Maples and wife Georgia, of Jefferson City, Tenn.; a sister, Ruth Parker of Houston, Texas; sister-in-law, Lib Stewart of Kings Mountain; brother-in-law, Gary Stewart and wife Mary Jo of Kings Mountain; sister-in-law, Linda O'Shields and husband David of Kings Mountain; four grandchildren, Beth, Chris, Ryan and Lacie, all of Alabama; and two great-grandchildren, Madison and Daniel.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at Dixon Presbyterian Church, Kings Mountain, officiated by Rev. Randy Patterson.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
Internment will be Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain.
