Knoxville, Tenn. - Bill Glynn Jenkins, passed away Friday, Oct. 6, 2006, at his home. He was born Feb. 12, 1949, in Benham, Ky., a son of the late James Audley and Helen Lee Jenkins. He believed in the Baptist faith, and gave his life to the Lord at an early age. He received Baptism on Oct. 5, 2006. He was also a former volunteer fireman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Steve and Teddy; sisters, Wilma, Delia, and Leona. Survivors include his wife, Tammy Jenkins, Knoxville, Tenn.; son, Bill (Donna) Jenkins, Pineville; twins, Lee (Jenny) Jenkins, Knoxville, Tenn., and Trina Jenkins (Michael) Lipscomb, Birmingham, Ala.; daughter, Tiffany Jenkins, Charleston, S.C.; stepson, Bobby Hickman, Seymour, Tenn.; mother of his children, Sharon Jenkins, Pineville; beloved twin sister, Bobbie Lynn (Tyson) Johnson, Middlesboro; sisters, Lois Effler, Atlanta, Ga., Alma Jenkins, Atlanta, Ga., and Zella Schultz, Clinton, Tenn.; brothers, David "Sonny" Jenkins, Illinois, James A. "Jimmy" (Brenda) Jenkins, Knoxville, Tenn., Lee Thomas Jenkins, Coalfield, Tenn., Willard (Mary) Jenkins, Bradton, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Ashley Jenkins, Aaron Jenkins, Madeline Jenkins, Sidney Jenkins, Jordan King, Maggie Lipscomb, and Chloe Jenkins; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Monday at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William Boyd Bingham and Garry Bingham presiding. Music will be provided by Jimmy Jackson and Dickie Siler. Interment will be at 4 p.m. Monday at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sevierville, Tenn.
