Elaine N. Nagel, 58, of 2730 Pinard St., died at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with burial in Linwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Locust Street Funeral Home, 1145 Locust St., and after 9 a.m. Friday at the church.
She was born on Dec. 14, 1940, in Cranston, R.I., daughter of Jeremiah and Ruth (Brown) Donovan. She married William C. Nagel on Oct. 1, 1960, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Providence, R.I.
She graduated from Cranston High School. She enjoyed her family and especially baby-sitting her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed music.
Surviving are her husband, William C. Nagel; two daughters, Nancy (Jim) Leonard, of Dubuque, and Sandy (Terry) Schute, of Dubuque; a son, David (Lynn) Nagel, of Dubuque; her grandchildren, Jessica, Michael and Nathan; a sister, Ruth Plewa, of Daytona Beach, Fla.; and her mother-in-law, Evelyn Nagel, of Dubuque.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her father-in-law, Elmer Nagel.
An Elaine N. Nagel Memorial Fund has been established.
