He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Phillips; parents, Guy and Lois Phillips. He is survived by his brother, Shannon Phillips of Cosby; son Tony Anthony (Amy) of Newport; stepchildren, Cindy Irwin of Georgia, Bo Anthony and Martin Anthony of Alabama and Cricket Anthony of North Carolina; grandchildren, James, Breanna and Cameron Anthony, Deanna, Shea, Christina, Reba and Michael; nephew, Kenny (Jennifer) Phillips of Newport; aunt, Ruby Ellison, of South Carolina; special friends, McRee Whitten and Charlie Williams; and many other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, January 4, 2017 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Leon Large officiating. Burial will follow in the Clark Cemetery in Hartford. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Wednesday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
